Komatsu Forest has been present in Uruguay since 1992 through local dealers and has now taken the step to establish a Komatsu Forest branch to further expand their presence in the country.
“Despite the corona pandemic we feel a strong belief in the future of forestry and our establishment in Uruguay is one evidence of that”, says Jens Bengtsson, CEO of Komatsu Forest.
Antonio Pezzi has been appointed as acting General Manager. Mr Pezzi has extensive experience from working with large full-service contracts in Brazil and will transfer that knowledge to this new branch. The company moved into the new facilities during December.
The local dealer Roman SA will continue as a partner and will be focusing on the small and midsize customer segment in the Uruguay forestry business, while the new branch will focus on the large customer segment.
